Glass Door Safety Stickers in Sydney

Glass door safety stickers stop people walking into glass they cannot see. Frameless and fully glazed doors look great, but that invisibility is exactly why safety decals on glass doors are not just decorative — they are a compliance requirement. Sydney Tint installs glass door safety stickers and manifestation across Sydney, professionally applied so they meet the standard and stay put.

Why Frameless Doors Need Glass Door Safety Stickers

A clear glass door or sidelight is almost invisible in the wrong light. A contrasting safety marking — a band, logo or decal at eye level — makes the glass visible and stops people, and children, walking into it. On commercial and public sites it also reduces your liability, and in most cases marking the glass is required to comply with the building access standard.

Glass Safety Decals & Australian Standards

Clause 6.6 of AS 1428.1 covers “visual indicators on glazing” — manifestation. It requires any frameless or fully glazed door, sidelight or glazing that could be mistaken for an opening to be clearly marked across its full width with a solid, non-transparent contrasting line.

  • The line must be at least 75 mm wide
  • It must extend across the entire width of the glazing
  • Its lower edge must sit between 900 mm and 1000 mm above the finished floor

Glass door safety stickers - AS 1428.1 marking: 75 mm minimum band across the full width of the glazing, lower edge 900 to 1000 mm above the floor

AS 1428.1 glass door marking at a glance: a solid band at least 75 mm wide, across the full width of the glass, with its lower edge 900–1000 mm above the floor.

We install decals that meet this specification, so your glazing passes inspection the first time — whether it is a single office door or a full commercial fit-out.

Decal Options & Custom Designs

Safety marking does not have to be plain. We fit everything from simple 75 mm contrast strips through to frosted bands, etched-look manifestation and custom-cut designs, and we can work your logo or branding into the decal so a compliance requirement doubles as signage.

  • Contrast safety strips (AS 1428.1 compliant)
  • Frosted and etched-look manifestation bands
  • Custom logos, lettering and branded designs
  • Commercial-grade vinyl, weather-resistant for interior or exterior glass

Where We Install Glass Door Safety Stickers in Sydney

We fit glass door safety stickers for homes, offices, retail and public buildings across Sydney. As part of a wider home window tinting project, they protect children and older family members from clear glass doors and partitions; in offices and commercial buildings they keep staff and visitors safe and can carry your branding. For rooms that also need privacy, we combine safety marking with frosted window film.

Professionally Installed, Not a Peel-and-Stick Kit

Getting manifestation right is about placement as much as the decal — the height, width and contrast all have to meet the standard, and the application has to be clean and bubble-free on large glass. Our team measures, positions and applies every decal to spec, so it looks sharp and actually complies. That is the difference between a job that passes and one that has to be redone.
