What are the benefits of Window Film on my vehicle ?

Sydney Tint Window film protects both you and your car from the damaging effects of the sun. With the ever-increasing breakdown of our ozone layer, dermatologists warn against over exposure to the sun. Polarized sunglasses protect the eyes, sunblock protects the skin, and window film protects the interior of your car.

  •  Reject up to 67 percent of the sun’s total solar energy
  •  Block out almost 100 percent of harmful and damaging ultraviolet
  •  Reduced interior heat
  •  Reduced utility costs
  •  Reduced glare. Great when driving at night with headlights in your rear window.
  •  Extended air conditioning equipment life
  •  Increased fade protection
  •  Added protection from accidents, storms and burglars
  •  Window Film protects your privacy and contents within a car. What a burglar can't see, he won't steal.

Will my tint get air bubbles or fade ?

No, we use only the highest quality window films and fit them professionally as “Australia’s Only Master Installers”. The adhesives are specially designed to withstand extreme temperatures. Bubbles appear from poorer quality window film adhesives breaking down, The best advice we can give on this topic is the next time you see a purple/bubbly tint job on a motor vehicle whether its on the road or in a car-park, take note of the sticker on the rear window and avoid that tint company if you want your tint to last, its simple.

With Sydney Tint your windows will look perfect for as long as you own your vehicle.

How much do you charge ?

A small percentage of cars are harder to tint than others. When getting a price, a Professional window film installer always asks you for the make and model of your car. This isn't to see how much money you have. (But Often it is with less reputable tinters)
Experienced window film installers know which cars are more time consuming than others. Some cars with steep, curved rear windows like the Volkswagen Beetle or Porsche's can incur a premium to tint. Additionally, each  square foot of window on your vehicle requires more window film to tint. This makes tinting a 4WD or station wagon cost a little more than a sedan.

I have been quoted a much higher price from a big name outlet ?

This is a common complaint we hear from our fast growing client base who have unfortunately found themselves outlaying a small fortune for window film tinting in the past and have now joined the movement to Sydney Tint for affordable window tinting. The larger National outlets especially, have huge over heads such as compulsory advertising levy's and agency related ongoing fee's etc:  they are locked into purchasing only one particular window film through a head office at a premium and usually have high rent main road exposure, these are all expenses passed on to you the customer, They can't afford to offer you the Quality Window Film and convenience of a  FREE mobile service to your home or office that we pride ourselves on at Sydney Tint Solutions, so when they are offering you a cheaper price we would query where the cost cut is coming from ?, Hence the reason for starting up Sydney Tint "Free Mobile window tinting". We come to your home or office to tint your vehicle, provided you have adequate shelter from the elements. At Sydney Tint our Mobile Vans are our office so much lower overheads keep our prices honest.

Why do some companies only offer one type of window film  ?

Because they are locked into this through contractual agreements whether they are a franchise or agency, they are not permitted to use any other manufacturers film which unfortunately is detrimental to you the customer as not all manufacturers do everything well, hence at Sydney Tint we are not bound or locked into any agreement for using any one particular Window Film, we are free to pick and choose which ever window film is best suited to the individual application. In short we stock 3 to 4 of the best window films available thus we can match any quality window film you may be interested in and often better it with a Suntek Product. Unlike our competitors.

How dark can I go ?

In most Australian States automotive window films must maintain 35% VLT (Visible Light Transmittance) once applied to the vehicle. This means that 35% of natural light must be capable of passing through the tinted piece of glass. Commercial vehicles are permitted to use darker window film on the rear sections such as Utility’s and vans etc.

How long do I have to leave the windows up ?

We recommend that you allow 48 hours before opening windows. This is to allow the window film to dry and gives the adhesive time to cure.

Why do I see bubbled or purple window film on cars ?

The window film is either very old, of poor quality or was installed by an inexperienced window tinter. If our window film were to ever bubble, we will replace it at no additional cost to you.

Will it Affect my GPS or Radio ?

No, These items will work the same as they did prior to the vehicle being tinted.
